Working with the team at Joseph Joseph, our brief was to develop the brands first pair of multi-purpose scissors, to incorporate truly helpful user benefits with a visual language the brand has become known for.
Similar to most other projects of this type, our first step was to understand how we all use scissors in our daily lives, and investigate how we can improve a much loved household tool.
Through consumer trials, we noticed how difficult it was to cut through tougher items such as bones, cardboard and thick string, requiring a mechanical advantage not currently provided.
