Sentinel Performance Solutions provide water treatment for heating and hot water systems. Sentinel's background in inhibitors, antifreeze, noise reduction and a market leading position gave them a platform from which they could develop further treatment products.

Sentinel chose 257 to develop a new system filter, with a clear remit to innovate and disrupt the current the current market dominated by magnet filters.

257 undertook a full scoping and proof of principle stage, allowing us to identify appropriate technologies, define filter / system requirements, develop initial concepts and provide proof of principle rigs to evaluate the potential of each concept.

The results of this stage allowed Sentinel to choose a hydro-cyclone solution that met their performance requirements whilst giving Sentinel a filtering method unique to the market.

The Eliminator was successfully launched in June 2013 with accompanying technical animation developed by 257 explaining the filter workings.​

Key stages included concept development to refine the product packaging and visual language, through to production including prototyping, mechanical design, FEA analysis, material specification, performance and lifecycle testing, identification of production partners and full tooling and manufacturing support.
